Guitar Academy Mauritius
Terms & Conditions
Music G.A.M. Ltd, trading as Guitar Academy Mauritius (BRN C25223215)
By using guitaracademy.mu, registering for classes, or purchasing a ticket to a Guitar Academy Mauritius event, you agree to the following terms.
General
Photo & Video
Guitar Academy Mauritius may photograph or film students, performances, and events (including the Guitar Festival) for use in our own promotion — on our website, social media, and marketing materials. If you or your child would prefer not to be included, please let us know in advance in writing, and we'll do our best to accommodate this.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Mauritius.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
Registration & Enrollment Terms
Applies to Beginner Registration
Fees & Payment
Beginner registration requires a one-time Rs 1,000 registration fee, collected alongside your first monthly or yearly payment. We do not use an online payment gateway — you pay directly via Juice or bank transfer using the details provided, and upload your own proof of payment. Your registration is confirmed once our staff have verified this proof.
Class Capacity
Classes are limited to 8 students. Once a class is full, registration for that class closes, and further registrations are only accepted for other available classes or the waitlist.
Guardian Consent
For students under 18, a parent or guardian's name is required at registration, and by submitting the registration, the parent/guardian confirms they consent to their child's enrollment and to the academy collecting the information provided.
Festival Ticket Purchase Terms
Applies to Guitar Festival ticket purchases
Your Ticket
Each order is issued a single QR ticket covering the full order — the buyer's name covers the whole group, not individually named tickets. The number of admissions your ticket covers ("Admit N") matches the quantity you purchased.
(This is a deliberate design choice, confirmed in the signed Ticketing Addendum — individually named tickets were explicitly out of scope.)
Your ticket can only be scanned once. The first valid scan admits your party; the QR code is then marked used and cannot be used again. Please arrive together as a group where possible.
Receiving Your Ticket
Your e-ticket, including your QR code, is emailed to you once your payment has been verified. Please keep this email safe — you'll need to show the QR code on your phone, or a printed copy, at the door. If you can't find your ticket email, contact us and we'll resend it.
Payment
We do not use an online payment gateway for ticket purchases. You pay directly via Juice or bank transfer using the details provided during checkout, and upload your own proof of payment. Your order is confirmed once our staff have verified this proof — this is not instant, and your ticket will not be issued until verification is complete.
No Resale
Tickets may not be resold, transferred for commercial purposes, or used in connection with any competition, promotion, or advertising without our prior written permission. We reserve the right to cancel any ticket found to have been resold or transferred in breach of this term.
Refunds & Cancellations
Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable once purchased. If the event's date, time, or venue changes, your ticket remains valid for the new details — no refund will be given solely because of such a change.
Entry & Conduct
Entry is at the discretion of Guitar Academy staff. We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee behaving in a way that puts other guests, staff, or the venue at risk. Attendees must also comply with the venue's own rules and policies.
Event Changes & Force Majeure
Event details (date, time, venue) may occasionally need to change due to circumstances outside our control — including but not limited to severe weather, venue unavailability, or other events beyond our reasonable control. Where this happens, we'll do our best to notify ticket holders using the contact details provided at purchase. It's your responsibility to keep these up to date and check for updates before the event.
Liability
Guitar Academy Mauritius is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the event. Please take care of your own belongings and look after your own safety and that of anyone in your care.
